The amount of effort put into this wall is amazing. RideOnMusic has taken a bare monochrome scan and made it into a full color masterpiece. Check out the amazing amount of detail and time taken to deliver it in multiple formats! Excellent wallpaper!
OK! i just summited my NEW wallpaper in session zero... please comment as soon as you can! i worked real hard on it.. its called "Lacus and Meer wallapper"
not really, im planing to sell a few of them, like the Ceres and the Inuyasha ones.. i dont re-read them so, whats the point... and what really sucks.. i spent like $ 2,000 on comic books... ive been colecting them for only 2 years... ok, im making a new wallpaper.. but i cant get the vectoring thing down yet..
I like your eureka walls, i joined this site because i wanted to make eureka walls. but i hav no idea how to go about starting to make a wall. i hav been readin tutourials and any other stuff i could find. so can you giv me any advice on how to start making a wall? any of which would be appriciated, thk-u.
Well, most of my E7 walls have just been recreations so far, so I haven't had to be too imaginative yet. Most of my wallpapers as you can see are actually vector works. So I capture screenshots and recreate them, put them together and so on. You can do the same thing with bad scans like I did on my last wallpaper. Not much more I can say besides just keep looking at other peoples walls for ideas.
How did you do the stainglass background? did you do it from scratch?
Yeap x3 I Vectored the basic round shape from a stock. then drew in everything, and colored it in gradient. changed things here and there. played with the lighting, and...added a texture
Hey! Thanks for liking my Chaos Legion wall. That was a nice comment.
My name is dope? Haha, I always thought my name was weird but thanks for the compliment!
The lasso way of extracting i can do but it seems that you hav to hav a pretty precise and stedy hand. also the image looks really sketchy. but the pen way i still really dont understand, like wen i trace the outline of the part of the scan i want instead of the black cover everything outside the lines it cover the scan on the inside. any advice?
Well, you'll need to practice a bit with the pen tool, as it is, imo, one of the hardest to use tools in photoshop. Now, I'd recommend you visit http://www.imanimetions.net/tutorial/tutorial.php?view=pentut, so that you can get a better idea on how to use it. Yup, lasso tool is quite weird, since it's easier to "use" but much harder to get better results, and with the pen curves, you can get nice, smooth and precise extractions. About the black thing, check if you have the "paths" option activated instead of the "shape layers" since that's what creates the automatic fill...
